Closing Out The COVID Year - Implications for SPED

Content: As a special education administrator, you are aware of steps needed to close out the year. However, this year promises to be challenging due to remote learning schedules and off site working environments. Fall 1 SPED submission was difficult and EOY submission may be same as well. Also, with DINC, Disporportionality on the horizon, all SPED staff must take utmost care in completing all end of year tasks. This workshop will provide an overview of possible nuances for this year and staregies to overcome those.
Intended Audience: Site administrators and special education program coordinators. Case managers are also enouraged to attend.
Outcomes: Participants shall
- Develop efficient year end procedures for Special education impacted by COVID-19
- Learn strategies for effective transitions and communications between service providers
- Learn best practices to implement to avoid any audit findings next year.
